PasswordByPhone Offers Free Advertising on Satellite TV

LONDON – Global pay-per-call processor PasswordByPhone will be offering webmasters the opportunity to promote their websites through a portal due to be advertised in emerging growth markets via the Hotbird satellite service later this year, the company announced today.

According to the company, the move will give webmasters exposure to an audience of more than 200 million viewer households.

"In an increasingly diverse and fragmented multimedia age, all platforms must be explored to drive traffic and increase sales," Marc Jarrett of PasswordByPhone told XBIZ. "Through our existing relationships with satellite broadcasters, our partners can also capitalize on the opportunities presented by this powerful and proven advertising medium."

According to a company release, the service is being offered free of charge to those webmasters who include the PasswordByPhone billing solution as part of their processing options. The PasswordByPhone system communicates with surfers in their local language through the use of geo-targeted pages which have been translated into 37 different languages.

Countries within the Hotbird footprint include emerging markets such as Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and Morocco as well as Russia, Italy, France, Greece, Poland and Belgium.

Despite negligible credit card penetration in some of these countries, PasswordByPhone is able to offer global billing reach through its numerous interconnect agreements with Telco's worldwide and the ubiquity of the telephone.
